Preparation of Cavity:

• Ensure proper preparation of the cavity with adequate undercuts for retention.
• The cavity floor should be flat, preferably with a lining of thermal insulation.
• Ensure the cavity is dry during the filling process.
• Use a matrix band for Class II cavities for optimal contouring and adaptation.

Proportioning of Alloy & Mercury:

• Follow a 1:1 ratio by weight of alloy to mercury for optimal performance and amalgamation.

Trituration:

• Utilize mechanical amalgamation or mortar and pestle techniques to achieve a workable mass of amalgam within a minimum time frame.
• Ensure the mixture is free of excess mercury before condensation.

Carving:

• Carve the freshly condensed amalgam within 5 minutes to ensure proper contouring and adaptation.
• Avoid carving against the resistance of the setting mass for optimal shaping.

Finishing & Polishing:

• Wait for a 24-hour setting period before initiating finishing and polishing.
• Utilize low-speed techniques with special abrasive tools or steel finishing burs followed by polishing paste for a smooth and polished surface.

Storage:

• Store the product away from sunlight in a cool, dark, and dry place to maintain its integrity and properties over time.

Special Considerations (Dentfilloy NG):

• For Dentfilloy NG, ensure to squeeze the amalgam mixture using chamois leather or gauze to remove any excess mercury.
• Mulling, if desired, must be carried out on a piece of rubber or latex.
