• Practice Procedures:

  • For cavity preparation: Use your dental handpieces and burs to simulate cavity drilling on the artificial teeth. Follow the same protocols you would use on natural teeth, including achieving proper depth and shape.

  • For crown cutting: Carefully shape the tooth to prepare for a crown by using your rotary instruments. Ensure you replicate the appropriate contours and margins as practiced in real scenarios.

• Cleaning: After each practice session, clean the artificial teeth with a soft brush and water to remove any debris or residue. Avoid using harsh chemicals that may damage the resin.

• Storage: Store the typhodont and individual teeth in a clean, dry area away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure that the teeth are fully dry before storing.

• Replacement: If the artificial teeth show significant wear or damage, replace them with new ones to ensure continued effective practice.

• Disinfection: Before and after use, disinfect the artificial teeth and the typhodont base according to your institution’s guidelines to maintain hygiene and prevent contamination.

• Practice: Use the artificial teeth repeatedly to refine your techniques for cavity preparation and crown cutting, simulating real-life procedures to build your skills effectively.
