    Alveogyl, developed by Septodont, is a highly effective dental paste designed for treating dry sockets and serving as a post-extraction dressing. This one-step solution provides rapid pain relief for patients and offers convenience for dental professionals. Alveogyl's unique formulation eliminates the need for sutures or special attention, as it self-eliminates while promoting healing through observation of the process. The paste's fibrous consistency, achieved through the inclusion of Penghawar fibers, enables easy filling of the socket and excellent adherence to the alveolar tissue. By soothing the alveolar tissues, Alveogyl swiftly alleviates pain. It is particularly useful in cases of dry sockets or following difficult or traumatic extractions in patients with a history of dry sockets. With Alveogyl, patients can experience relief and dental professionals can provide efficient and effective treatment for post-extraction care.

    Indications:

    • Treatment of dry socket.
    • Post-extraction dressing.

    Contra-Indications:

    • Alveogyl is not to be used on patients having a history of allergy to one of the components and on deciduous teeth (children under 12 years of age).
    • Routine use of the product as a post-extractin dressing is contraindicated.

    Composition:

    • Penghawar djambi
    • Eugenol
    • Sodium lauryl sulphate
    • Calcium carbonate
    • Excipients

    • 1 x 10 g jar

    • Clean the extraction site: After the tooth extraction, the dentist will clean the socket or the empty space where the tooth was removed. Make sure the area is free of any debris or blood clots.
    • Dry the extraction site: Using sterile gauze or cotton, gently pat dry the socket. It's important to ensure the area is dry before applying Alveogyl.
    • Apply Alveogyl: Take a small amount of Alveogyl paste using a clean applicator or a sterile gloved finger. Place the paste directly into the socket, filling it completely. The paste should cover the entire extraction site.
    • Smooth the paste: Using the applicator or your finger, gently press and smooth the paste to ensure it covers the socket evenly. Avoid applying excessive pressure that may dislodge the clot.
    • Avoid rinsing or spitting: To allow the Alveogyl to work effectively, avoid rinsing or spitting forcefully for at least 24 hours. Instead, allow saliva to passively flow out of your mouth.
    • Leave it in place: Alveogyl is designed to stay in place and slowly dissolve over time. It forms a protective layer over the extraction site, helping to prevent infection and promote healing. Avoid touching the paste with your tongue or finger.
