Salivary Aspiration Technique:

• Instruct the patient to keep their head slightly tilted forward.
• Provide a saliva suction device and instruct the patient to use it to remove excess saliva.
• The device should be held close to the lips, ensuring effective aspiration of saliva.

Application Time:

• Recommend a 4-minute application time for optimal fluoride absorption.
• Ensure the patient remains still and refrains from swallowing during this period.

After Application:

• Remove the tray carefully, ensuring minimal disturbance to the gel or teeth.
• Instruct the patient to expectorate any remaining gel into a disposable cup.
• Advise the patient to avoid eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes post-application to allow for optimal fluoride uptake.
